We are hiring a Material Handler for our busy San Francisco, California facility. This position is critical to our warehouse operations, ensuring the smooth and safe movement of goods. Responsibilities include operating forklifts, loading and unloading trucks, organizing inventory, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. The ideal candidate will be experienced, safety-conscious, and possess strong skills in material handling and logistics.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Organize and maintain inventory, ensuring proper stock rotation and placement.
- Conduct daily inspections of equipment and report any maintenance needs.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures, including proper use of PPE (e.g., hard hat, safety vest, steel-toed boots).
- Assist with receiving, shipping, and inventory counts as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Must be able to perform physical tasks, including Lifting up to 75 lbs.
- Contribute to overall logistics efficiency and team success.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar role.
- Valid forklift certification.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Knowledge of warehouse Safety regulations and best practices.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
