We are looking for a skilled Reach Truck Operator to join our logistics team in Columbus, Ohio. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a reach truck to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise in the warehouse. This position is crucial for maintaining efficient inventory flow and ensuring the safe handling of materials. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of safe operation and a strong understanding of warehouse operations and Safety protocols.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a reach truck to transport and store inventory.
- Load and unload materials from trailers and racks.
- Accurately pick and put away inventory in designated locations.
- Conduct pre-operation inspections of the reach truck and report any issues.
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of work areas and aisles.
- Adhere to all company policies, Safety procedures, and traffic regulations within the warehouse.
- Participate in inventory counts and cycle counts.
- Wear appropriate PPE, including high-visibility clothing and safety shoes.
- Must be comfortable with regular Lifting of smaller items and maneuvering larger ones with equipment.
- Support overall warehouse logistics and team efforts.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience operating a reach truck.
- Valid forklift/reach truck operator certification.
- Demonstrated knowledge of warehouse operations and material handling.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Strong commitment to Safety and accident prevention.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Must be able to work flexible hours as needed.
