We are seeking a meticulous and organized Shipping Clerk to join our dynamic logistics team in Dallas, Texas. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately processing outgoing shipments, verifying package contents, and preparing shipping documents. This role is crucial for ensuring timely and correct delivery of products to our customers. You will work closely with our warehouse staff and carriers to streamline the shipping process.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process all outgoing shipments, including labeling and documentation.
- Verify the accuracy of items being shipped against orders.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers to schedule pickups and track shipments.
- Maintain accurate shipping records and manage inventory levels for packing supplies.
- Operate shipping equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks.
- Ensure all shipments comply with company policies and carrier regulations.
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE at all times.
- Assist with general warehouse duties as needed, including receiving and stocking.
- Must be comfortable with Lifting up to 50 lbs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping, logistics, or a related field is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in using computer systems for order processing and tracking.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to workplace safety and knowledge of relevant PPE.
