We are hiring a certified Forklift Operator for our busy distribution center in Grand Rapids, Michigan. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting merchandise. Your role is vital to the seamless operation of our logistics and warehousing processes. This position requires a skilled individual with a strong safety record and the ability to operate various types of forklifts and other material handling equipment. You will be expected to perform daily equipment inspections, maintain a clean and organized work area, and adhere to all company safety policies and procedures. Proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is mandatory at all times. The ability to perform physical tasks, including moderate lifting (up to 50 lbs), is essential for this role. We are looking for reliable, dedicated individuals who can work effectively in a team environment and contribute to our overall operational success in the logistics sector. Your attention to detail and commitment to safety will make you a valuable asset to our team. Responsibilities include:
- Operating forklifts to move, load, unload, and stack materials.
- Performing pre-operation inspections of forklifts and reporting any issues.
- Safely navigating warehouse aisles and docks.
- Verifying counts and identifying shipments.
- Storing products in designated locations.
- Assisting with shipping and receiving tasks as needed.
- Maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to all safety regulations.
- Participating in inventory counts and checks.
