Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to transport materials.
- Load and unload trucks, trailers, and rail cars.
- Move, stack, and organize merchandise in designated warehouse locations.
- Perform pre-operation inspections of forklifts and report any defects.
- Maintain accurate records of material movements and inventory levels.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Ensure the safe and efficient operation of equipment to prevent damage to goods or property.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all logistics guidelines for material handling.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or industrial setting is required.
- Valid forklift certification or the ability to obtain one quickly.
- Proficiency in safe forklift operation and maneuvering in tight spaces.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 60 lbs.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety protocols and the importance of PPE.
- Excellent attention to detail and spatial reasoning skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic logistics environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- A proactive approach to safety and hazard identification.
