Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from designated warehouse locations based on order tickets.
- Operate handheld scanners and other equipment to track inventory.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure efficiency and safety.
- Report any discrepancies or damages to inventory immediately.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Meet performance targets for order picking accuracy and speed.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as needed.
- Perform general warehouse duties as assigned, which may include some lifting.
- Contribute to a positive and productive team environment.
- Understand and follow all logistics protocols.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a similar warehouse role is a plus.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent bending, reaching, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Familiarity with warehouse equipment and scanning technology is preferred.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Commitment to workplace safety and a proactive approach to hazard identification.
Work Environment:
This role operates in a busy warehouse environment with varying temperatures. Regular lifting and movement are required. The company is committed to providing a safe workplace. Adherence to safety guidelines, including the correct usage of PPE, is mandatory. We emphasize safe practices in all logistics operations.
