Seeking a diligent Order Picker to join our team in Phoenix, Arizona. This role is fundamental to our warehouse operations, focusing on the accurate and timely retrieval of products to fulfill customer orders. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for navigating the warehouse, identifying correct items, and ensuring they are prepared for the next stage of our logistics process. We pride ourselves on a safe and efficient work environment, providing thorough training on equipment, procedures, and the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse shelves using pick lists or scanners.
- Verify the identity and quantity of picked items against order details.
- Operate equipment such as pallet jacks to move inventory efficiently and safely.
- Ensure all picked items are handled with care to prevent damage.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Adhere strictly to all warehouse Safety policies and guidelines.
- Assist with inventory control activities, including cycle counts.
- Report any stock discrepancies or issues encountered during picking.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the Logistics department.
- Utilize appropriate Lifting techniques and always wear required PPE.
- Meet performance standards for picking speed and accuracy.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or order picking role is advantageous.
- Ability to read and understand pick tickets and product labels.
- Familiarity with warehouse equipment like pallet jacks.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and bend for long periods.
- Capability to perform regular Lifting (up to 50 lbs).
- Knowledge of warehouse Safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic understanding of Logistics principles.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
