We are seeking a diligent Shipping Clerk to become a part of our logistics team in Cincinnati, Ohio. In this role, you will be instrumental in managing outbound shipments, ensuring that products leave our facility accurately and on time. Your duties will include preparing orders, completing shipping documentation, and coordinating with transportation partners. Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick, pack, and assemble orders for shipment.
- Verify order contents against packing lists and shipping manifests.
- Create and affix shipping labels, prepare bills of lading, and other shipping documents.
- Schedule and coordinate with carriers for shipment pickups.
- Load outgoing freight onto transport vehicles, ensuring proper handling and security.
- Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the shipping department and staging areas.
- Track shipments and resolve any issues that may arise during transit.
- Follow all company safety protocols and procedures, including the consistent use of PPE.
- Support overall warehouse logistics and inventory management as needed.
- Perform other tasks as assigned to contribute to the team's success.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or general warehouse operations is advantageous. Capable of performing physical tasks, including lifting up to 45 pounds, and standing for prolonged durations. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and order fulfillment. Basic understanding of shipping software and logistics processes. Must prioritize workplace safety and adhere to all guidelines, including wearing provided PPE. Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure. Good communication and interpersonal skills. A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and continuous improvement.
