We are hiring a Material Handler for our facility in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This position plays a vital role in our day-to-day logistics, focusing on the movement and organization of materials. You will be responsible for receiving, transporting, and storing a variety of items within the warehouse. Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload materials, verifying order accuracy.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely.
- Transport materials to and from production, storage, and shipping areas.
- Organize and maintain inventory in designated storage areas.
- Assist in conducting physical inventory counts and cycle counts.
- Ensure all materials are handled and stored according to established procedures.
- Maintain a clean and orderly workspace, free from potential hazards.
- Comply with all safety regulations and company policies, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Support the overall logistics and operational flow of the warehouse.
- Perform other warehouse tasks as directed by supervisors.
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role is required. Forklift certification or proven ability to operate forklifts safely is essential. Must be able to perform strenuous physical activities, including lifting up to 50 pounds frequently. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Strong understanding of warehouse safety practices and logistics. Must be detail-oriented and committed to accuracy. Willingness to wear all necessary PPE. Good communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Dependability and a strong work ethic are crucial.
