We are looking for an experienced Material Handler to join our team in San Francisco, California. This role is key to managing the flow of materials within our facility, ensuring that everything moves smoothly and efficiently. You'll be responsible for transporting materials, operating specialized equipment, and maintaining a safe and organized work area. Key Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks, ensuring accuracy and care.
- Transport raw materials, finished goods, and equipment throughout the facility using appropriate equipment.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse machinery safely and effectively.
- Store materials in designated locations, ensuring proper organization and accessibility.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure it is in good working order.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including the correct use of PPE.
- Maintain a clean and orderly workspace to prevent accidents and improve efficiency.
- Support the overall logistics and operations of the warehouse.
- Perform any other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar role. Forklift certification is highly desirable. Ability to perform tasks requiring significant physical exertion, including lifting heavy objects up to 50 lbs. Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced logistics environment. Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to safety protocols. Must wear required PPE at all times. Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures. Excellent coordination and manual dexterity. This role requires reliability and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
