We are hiring a Receiving Clerk for our Sacramento, California location. This critical role involves managing all incoming shipments, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in the receiving process. You will be responsible for verifying delivery contents against purchase orders, documenting discrepancies, and preparing goods for distribution or storage. A keen eye for detail and strong organizational skills are essential for success in this position within our logistics hub.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unpack, and inspect all incoming shipments.
- Verify the accuracy of received goods against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Document any damages, shortages, or discrepancies.
- Enter receiving data into the inventory management system.
- Organize and stage received goods for put-away or distribution.
- Communicate with vendors and internal departments regarding receiving issues.
- Maintain a clean and orderly receiving area.
- Follow all safety guidelines and wear appropriate PPE.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a receiving or inventory role preferred.
- Proficiency in using computers and basic data entry.
- Ability to perform moderate lifting, up to 40 pounds.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Familiarity with warehouse logistics and inventory control principles.
- Commitment to workplace safety.
