We are seeking a skilled and reliable Forklift Operator to join our dynamic logistics team in Austin, Texas. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating forklifts to move, load, unload, and stack materials within our warehouse. This role is crucial to our daily operations, ensuring the smooth flow of goods and maintaining inventory accuracy. You will work closely with warehouse supervisors and other team members to fulfill orders and manage incoming and outgoing shipments. Attention to detail, a strong commitment to safety, and the ability to follow instructions precisely are essential for success in this position. Our warehouse is a fast-paced environment, and we require individuals who can adapt to changing priorities and maintain a high level of productivity.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) to transport materials throughout the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper securing of goods.
- Stack and organize inventory in designated areas.
- Conduct pre-operation checks on forklifts to ensure they are in good working condition and report any issues.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with inventory counts and maintain accurate records.
- Identify and report any damaged goods or discrepancies.
- Work collaboratively with team members to achieve operational goals.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator.
- Valid forklift certification.
- Ability to perform Lifting of up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and Logistics .
- Strong understanding of Safety procedures and the importance of using PPE .
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic math and reading skills.
- Must be reliable and punctual.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
