We are actively recruiting for a Receiving Clerk to join our busy warehouse in Columbus, Ohio. In this critical role, you will be the first point of contact for incoming goods, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in our logistics pipeline. Your primary responsibilities will include unloading incoming shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders or invoices, inspecting for damage, and properly documenting all received items. Attention to detail, organizational skills, and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment are essential. You will be an integral part of our supply chain, ensuring that our inventory is accurate and available for subsequent warehouse operations. We pride ourselves on our efficient logistics and expect our team members to uphold these standards. This position requires physical activity, including lifting and moving packages. Key duties:
- Unload incoming freight from trucks and other transport vehicles.
- Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders, bills of lading, and invoices.
- Inspect received goods for any damage or discrepancies.
- Accurately record received items into the inventory management system.
- Tag and label received products for proper storage and identification.
- Route received goods to the appropriate staging areas or warehouse locations.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Operate equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks as needed.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers, carriers, and internal warehouse staff regarding receiving issues.
