Are you a certified Forklift Operator looking for a new challenge? Join our Sacramento, California logistics team! We are seeking skilled and safety-conscious individuals to operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to move materials throughout our warehouse. This role is vital for maintaining efficient workflow and ensuring the safe handling of inventory. Your responsibilities will include loading and unloading trucks, moving goods to and from storage areas, and assisting with order picking and fulfillment. A strong understanding of forklift operation safety procedures is essential, and you must consistently use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This position involves significant physical activity beyond forklift operation, including occasional lifting and moving of items. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and into storage.
- Move inventory to and from designated storage areas.
- Assist with order picking, packing, and staging for shipment.
- Perform daily inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance needs.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including mandatory PPE usage.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Support overall logistics operations by ensuring timely and efficient material handling.
- Occasional lifting and manual handling of goods may be required.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or logistics setting.
- Knowledge of safe forklift operating procedures and practices.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional lifting.
- Strong attention to detail and spatial awareness.
- Reliable and punctual with a good work ethic.
- Commitment to workplace safety and proper use of PPE.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
