Our Boise, Idaho location is seeking an experienced Inventory Control Specialist to join our logistics team. This critical role ensures the accuracy and integrity of our inventory management systems. You will be responsible for monitoring stock levels, conducting cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and implementing improvements to inventory control processes. A strong understanding of warehouse logistics and a commitment to Safety are essential. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, analytical, and possess excellent attention to detail. This position requires the ability to perform moderate physical tasks, including occasional Lifting, and a proactive approach to problem-solving within the supply chain.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels through regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies by identifying root causes.
- Implement and refine inventory control procedures to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
- Process inventory adjustments, transfers, and receipts in the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Track and manage stock rotation, including FIFO (First-In, First-Out) principles.
- Generate inventory reports and analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure smooth operational flow.
- Ensure compliance with all Safety regulations and company policies related to inventory handling.
- Participate in audits of inventory records and processes.
- Perform occasional physical tasks, including Lifting and moving inventory items up to 25 pounds.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to all PPE requirements.
- Contribute to optimizing the overall logistics and supply chain performance through effective inventory management.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in inventory control or a similar warehouse/logistics role.
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to perform moderate physical tasks, including occasional Lifting.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of Safety protocols and adherence to guidelines.
- Organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
This is a key role for maintaining the efficiency of our logistics operations.
