Description Interact provides enterprise-grade intranet software that connects over three million employees to leading global names like Levi's, Domino’s, Teva Pharmaceuticals, and Technicolor.
Our team of customer-focused problem solvers are passionate about helping organizations to communicate better. We do this together by constantly working to improve every service and product we offer. With offices in Manchester, New York, Dubai, Tulsa, Warsaw and Manila, we operate across North America, EMEA, and Australia.
Click on any of our vacancies and you’ll see one thing in common – they all begin with this message. Why? Because at Interact we treat everyone with the same respect and honesty. Whether you’re a developer fresh out of college or a seasoned salesperson, we live the motto that we uphold for our customers: our people are our most valuable assets.
We are looking for a Product Designer who will focus on delivering polished, user-friendly interfaces across our employee experience platform. Working closely with senior designers and cross-functional teams, you’ll contribute to design execution, UI delivery, and the evolution of our design system.
This is a mid-level role suited for someone with 3+ years of experience who is looking to grow in areas like UX research, accessibility, and AI-enhanced design — with guidance and mentorship. You’ll help bring product initiatives to life through thoughtful visual design and collaboration, rather than owning strategy end-to-end.
This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in visual craft and systems thinking, is curious about emerging technologies like AI, and values learning from others while delivering real product impact.
A little about you...
Product Design Experience -
3+ years in a Product Designer, UI/UX Designer, or similar role, with a portfolio showcasing strong visual design and real-world product work.
UI Design Craft -
Proven ability to create clean, high-fidelity UI designs with attention to layout, typography, visual hierarchy, and system coherence.
Design System Experience -
Experience working with or contributing to a design system (e.g., creating or adapting Figma components, working with tokens).
Tool Proficiency -
Fluency with modern design tools such as Figma (bonus if you’ve worked with version control, tokens, or auto layout).
UX Foundations -
Understanding of UX best practices, interaction design patterns, and how to collaborate with researchers and strategists (not expected to lead UX independently).
Accessibility Awareness -
Familiarity with accessibility concepts (e.g., WCAG guidelines), and an openness to learning and applying them with team support.
AI Curiosity -
Interest in how AI/ML may influence product design (e.g., tooling, automation, research augmentation); hands‑on experience is a plus but not required.
Collaborative Mindset -
Strong communication and collaboration skills. Comfortable sharing work, receiving feedback, and working with technical and non‑technical peers.
Problem-Solving -
A methodical thinker who can translate complex design problems into simple, effective UI solutions.
Agile Experience - Experience working in an agile or iterative development process is highly desirable.
About the role...
UI Design & Prototyping -
Design and deliver high-fidelity UI mockups, interactive prototypes, and detailed specifications for new features and improvements across Interact's platform, ensuring clarity, usability, and design consistency.
Design System Contribution -
Support the evolution and maintenance of our design system by creating new components, refining existing ones, and documenting usage patterns to promote consistency and efficiency across teams.
Visual Delivery for Product Initiatives -
Take ownership of the visual execution for defined product streams. Collaborate with Product Managers and Engineers to ensure designs meet user and business needs while remaining technically feasible.
User-Centered Design Application -
Apply core user-centered design principles — including wireframing, user flows, and interaction design — in partnership with team members who lead UX strategy and research.
Cross-Functional Collaboration -
Work within agile, cross-functional teams (Product, Engineering, QA, Marketing) to iterate on ideas, gather feedback, and deliver usable designs in a fast-paced environment.
Design Quality Assurance -
Contribute to design reviews and offer feedback to teammates, helping uphold high visual and interaction standards across the platform.
Accessibility Integration (With Support) -
Begin applying accessibility best practices in your design work (e.g., color contrast, keyboard navigation), with mentorship from team experts to grow your understanding of inclusive design.
AI-Aware Design Practice (With Mentorship) -
Explore how AI tools and approaches can complement your workflow — from UI generation to user insight synthesis — with opportunities to learn and experiment alongside others.
User Feedback Integration -
Incorporate user feedback, usability test results, and basic analytics into your design iterations, with support from researchers and product teammates.
Stay Curious -
Maintain awareness of trends in UI/UX design, design systems, accessibility, and AI — and bring that curiosity into your day‑to‑day work and growth.
