*Foodb* is a hospitality technology platform providing EPOS software, ordering solutions, and operational tools for food & beverage businesses.
*TapDonate* is a fintech platform enabling charities to accept donations through card machines, kiosks, and digital solutions, making giving easier and more accessible.
Both platforms are growing rapidly and require strong technical leadership to scale products, improve reliability, and deliver new features efficiently.
*About the Role*
We are looking for a *Software Architect / Product Manager* who can take ownership of the technical direction and delivery across *Foodb* and *TapDonate*.
This is a *hands-on leadership role*, combining *architecture, delivery oversight, and product decision-making*. You will work closely with founders, stakeholders, and engineers to ensure systems are scalable, secure, and aligned with business goals.
*Key Responsibilities*
*Technical Leadership*
* Lead the technical vision and strategy for Foodb and TapDonate platforms.
* Mentor and guide engineers, ensuring high-quality delivery and best practices.
* Provide technical direction to overcome design, scalability, and delivery challenges.
* Own and manage the software delivery roadmap.
*Architecture & System Design*
* Design and implement scalable, resilient, and maintainable architectures.
* Apply modern design patterns and microservices-based approaches.
* Evaluate and adopt new technologies to improve performance and efficiency.
* Create architecture diagrams, data flow diagrams, and API specifications.
*Product & Delivery Ownership*
* Act as a bridge between business requirements and technical implementation.
* Translate product needs into clear technical requirements.
* Review team output to ensure alignment with business use cases.
* Ensure timely and high-quality delivery of features and improvements.
*Documentation & Standards*
* Produce clear architectural and technical documentation.
* Establish and enforce coding, documentation, and architectural standards.
*Implementation & Support*
* Support onboarding of new clients (technical & functional).
* Assist with new installations and remediation of existing setups.
* Support troubleshooting of live systems when required.
*Stakeholder Collaboration*
* Work closely with founders, product owners, and business stakeholders.
* Facilitate communication between cross-functional teams to ensure alignment.
*Required Skills & Experience*
* Proven experience as a *Software Architect, Senior Engineer, or Product Manager (technical)*.
* Strong understanding of *software architecture principles and design patterns*.
* Experience with *microservices, API design, and RESTful APIs*.
* Solid knowledge of *databases and SQL* (PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server).
* Experience with *cloud platforms* (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
* Strong understanding of *DevOps practices* (Git, CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes).
* Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
* Strong communication skills, especially with non-technical stakeholders.
* Ability to lead teams, take ownership, and work independently in a remote setup.
*Desired Skills (Nice to Have)*
* Experience with *front-end technologies* (React, Angular, Vue).
* Exposure to *AI / Machine Learning concepts*.
* Experience with *data engineering or analytics pipelines*.
* Understanding of *security best practices and threat modelling*.
* Experience working with *fintech, EPOS, or payment systems*.
* Experience: Senior Architect – *5 years (required)*
