LOCATION: Grande Prairie, Alberta
SALARY/WAGE: $18.84-$22.07 per hour
JOB SUMMARY:
The Agency is assisting Grande Prairie Gymnastics Society (GPGS) in the recruitment of a temporary part-time Front Desk Representative.
The Front Desk Representative plays a key role in creating a welcoming first impression for members, athletes, and visitors. Reporting to the Front Desk Administrator, this position collaborates closely with staff to deliver exceptional customer service while supporting daily front desk and administrative operations. This role is responsible for managing inquiries, assisting with registrations and payments, and ensuring the lobby environment aligns with the mission and values of GPGS.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Greet members, athletes, and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
- Respond to internal and external inquiries by phone, email, and in person
- Answer and transfer telephone calls, retrieve and distribute voicemail messages
- Provide accurate information regarding programs, schedules, and services
- Enroll athletes in programs, classes, private lessons, and assessments
- Process payments and sell merchandise and products
- Maintain a welcoming, organized, and engaging front desk and lobby area
- Perform general administrative duties including managing correspondence, filing electronic and paper documents, making photocopies, and sending emails
- Support a positive, inclusive, and safe environment for staff, members, and participants
REQUIREMENTS:
- Previous customer service or front desk experience preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Friendly, professional, and approachable demeanor
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable handling payments and general administrative tasks
- Proficiency with email and basic computer systems
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Commitment to maintaining a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment
