Forklift Operator

Our Client has an immediate need for a Forklift Operator for Crown Reach and other Crown Forklifts. You are proficient in using a forklift and have at least 3 to 5 years' experience.

We need people who can work full time on a Temporary to Permanent Basis. For this work we do not want associates who have another job as this is a strong health and safety concern due to fatigue at work. Rather a person who needs work and would like an opportunity to be hired.

Overview
We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator/Shipper/Receiver to join our client's warehouse team on a Temp to Perm basis.

This position plays a vital role in ensuring efficient materials handling, accurate order fulfillment, and safe shipping and receiving operations.

The ideal candidate will have experience operating a Crown Reach Forklift in a safe and efficient matter and other heavy equipment, familiarity with warehouse management systems, and a strong understanding of safety protocols such as OSHA standards.

This temporary to full -time role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment focused on precision and safety.

Responsibilities

• Operate various types of warehouse equipment including Crown Reach forklifts, to load, unload, and move materials safely and efficiently
  
• Perform order picking using RF scanners and warehouse management systems to fulfill customer orders accurately
  
• Load and unload shipments, ensuring proper handling of goods to prevent damage
  
• Assist with shipping and receiving activities, including verifying shipments against documentation
  
• Conduct routine inspections of heavy equipment and report any maintenance needs or safety concerns
  
• Maintain a clean and organized work area adhering to OSHA safety standards
  
• Support warehouse distribution processes, including materials handling and inventory management
  
• Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow and ensure compliance with safety regulations
  Requirements

  Qualifications
  

  • At least 3 to 5 years Proven experience in warehouse distribution, order picking, or shipping & receiving roles using a Crown Reach.
    
  • Valid certification for forklift operation;
    
  • Knowledge of heavy equipment operation including pallet jacks, and other material handling machinery
    
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners for order picking and inventory control
    
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in accordance with OSHA standards
    
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to verify shipments accurately
    
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment
