Job Description

What You'll Be Doing

  • Delivering consistent, professional, and proactive guest service
  • Maintaining full knowledge of beverage lists, promotions, menu items, garnishes, and preparation methods
  • Assisting guests with menu selections in an informative and engaging manner
  • Mixing drinks and craft cocktails to standard while managing and monitoring inventory
  • Identifying dietary restrictions and allergies and communicating them to kitchen staff
  • Handling guest concerns promptly and graciously, ensuring remarkable service recovery
  • Maintaining service essentials, quality, and standards throughout the guest experience
  • Setting up mise en place, side stations, bar, and bar settings according to standards
  • Supporting colleagues during service, including running food, refreshing beverages, and clearing/resetting tables
  • Arranging furniture in the bar and lounge area in a clean, consistent, and inviting manner
  • Ensuring accuracy in billing, promotions, and loyalty program offerings
  • Following all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverages
  • Performing other duties as assigned
Qualifications

What We're Looking For

  • Minimum one year of experience in a high-volume, upscale restaurant with a service-oriented approach
  • Luxury hotel experience preferred
  • Calm, courteous, and guest-focused at all times
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities effectively
  • Perform well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Team-oriented mindset with strong collaboration skills
  • High level of responsibility, reliability, and professional grooming
  • In-depth knowledge of wine, spirits, beer, cocktails, and specialty coffees
  • Valid Serving It Right Certification
  • Flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, evenings, and rotating shifts
  • Professional proficiency in written and spoken English

Physical Aspects of Position

  • Constant standing and walking during shifts
  • Frequent lifting and carrying up to 30 lbs.
  • Frequent kneeling, pushing, and pulling
  • Frequent ascending or descending ladders, stairs, and ramps
  • Ability to carry three entrée plates or more simultaneously
