*About the Role*
By the Pixel is seeking a full-time *Quality Assurance Analyst* to join our team who is hungry to contribute to our growth and passionate about testing websites and web applications to deliver seamless user experiences. You will monitor, inspect, and review products to ensure adherence to defined stakeholder requirements and quality standards, including design and functional vision, while playing a pivotal role in shaping and enhancing our QA processes.
A successful candidate should be passionate about innovation and have excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a remote environment.
*Core Responsibilities*
* *Develop and guide QA processes:* Assist in creating, improving, and implementing robust QA processes to ensure high-quality deliverables.
* *Website and web application testing:* Conduct thorough manual and automated testing of websites and web applications to ensure they meet functional, design, and performance standards.
* *Build regression test suites:* Create, maintain, and execute comprehensive regression test suites to validate updates and changes.
* *Ensure accessibility and SEO compliance:* Validate adherence to accessibility (WCAG standards) and SEO best practices to optimize usability and search visibility.
* *Automate testing workflows:* Leverage automated testing tools to increase efficiency and coverage of QA efforts for projects that warrant it.
* *Performance testing:* Conduct performance testing to identify speed and stability issues.
* *Collaborate with cross-functional teams:* Work closely with developers, designers, marketers, account managers, and project managers to identify issues early in the development lifecycle.
* *Report and document issues:* Log detailed bug reports and collaborate to ensure swift resolutions.
*Required Qualifications*
* *Proven experience:* 3-5+ years of experience in QA testing websites and web applications.
* *Technical expertise:* Familiarity with automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright) and performance testing platforms.
* *Detail-oriented mindset:* A sharp eye for detail with a commitment to delivering exceptional digital experiences.
* *Accessibility and SEO knowledge:* A solid understanding of accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG) and SEO best practices.
* *Problem-solving skills:* Ability to analyze issues, identify root causes, and recommend effective solutions.
* *Strong communication skills:* Capable of documenting findings and collaborating with diverse teams effectively.
* *Tool proficiency:* Experience with QA tools like ClickUp, Asana, or similar platforms.
* *Adaptability:* Ability to work in a dynamic environment with evolving priorities.
*Bonus Skills*
* Experience working within a digital agency
* In-depth understanding of the web design and engineering process, and familiarization with the department workflows involved (marketing, development, design, and quality assurance)
* Experience mentoring other Quality Assurance Analysts
* Experience creating, documenting, and enforcing Quality Assurance processes
