Essential Functions

  • Assist licensed electricians in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
  • Follow blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams to complete tasks.
  • Measure, cut, and bend wire and conduit, using appropriate tools.
  • Install and connect wiring, outlets, switches, and fixtures.
  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections of electrical systems.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues with the guidance of a licensed electrician.
  • Ensure all work complies with local and national electrical codes and standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Participate in ongoing training and education programs to develop skills and knowledge. 
  • Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Enrollment in or completion of a recognized electrical apprenticeship program is preferred.
  • Must be 22 years of age or older.
  • Must be able to browse electrical schematics, diagrams, and blueprints.
  • Must be able to pass MVR and maintain a clean driving record.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Basic understanding of electrical theory and principles.

  • Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting up to 50 pounds, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces.
  • Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced electricians.
  • Must be able to climb ladders.
  • Ability to read, write and speak in English.
  • Physical Activities & Requirements 

  • Physical Demands: Significant lifting, up to at least fifty (50) pounds, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; some climbing and balancing, including on a ladder at heights; frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling; and significant fine finger dexterity.
  • Environment:  Work in varying temperatures including non-climate-controlled areas occasionally with extreme temperatures and hazardous conditions. 
  • Schedule:  Must be available to work nights and weekends, on a rotating basis, to service emergency needs of our customers.
  • Visual Abilities:  Must be able to correctly differentiate between colors. 
  • Other:  Must be proficient in the use of smart phones, tablets, and other mobile devices.
