Essential Functions
Assist licensed electricians in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. Follow blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams to complete tasks. Measure, cut, and bend wire and conduit, using appropriate tools. Install and connect wiring, outlets, switches, and fixtures. Perform routine maintenance and inspections of electrical systems. Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues with the guidance of a licensed electrician. Ensure all work complies with local and national electrical codes and standards. Maintain a clean and organized work environment. Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment. Participate in ongoing training and education programs to develop skills and knowledge. Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required Enrollment in or completion of a recognized electrical apprenticeship program is preferred. Must be 22 years of age or older. Must be able to browse electrical schematics, diagrams, and blueprints. Must be able to pass MVR and maintain a clean driving record. Good communication and interpersonal skills Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Basic understanding of electrical theory and principles. Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting up to 50 pounds, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces. Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced electricians. Must be able to climb ladders. Ability to read, write and speak in English. Physical Activities & Requirements
Physical Demands: Significant lifting, up to at least fifty (50) pounds, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; some climbing and balancing, including on a ladder at heights; frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling; and significant fine finger dexterity. Environment: Work in varying temperatures including non-climate-controlled areas occasionally with extreme temperatures and hazardous conditions. Schedule: Must be available to work nights and weekends, on a rotating basis, to service emergency needs of our customers. Visual Abilities: Must be able to correctly differentiate between colors. Other: Must be proficient in the use of smart phones, tablets, and other mobile devices.
