Custodial/ Janitor

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Custodial Specialist to maintain cleanliness and safety across our facilities. This role involves performing a variety of cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure a pristine environment for staff, clients, and visitors. The ideal candidate will have experience in janitorial services, custodial work, or related fields, with a strong focus on quality and efficiency. Duties

• Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal across designated areas
• Conduct deep cleaning procedures such as floor buffing, carpet cleaning, and window washing
• Maintain and operate cleaning equipment such as buffers, vacuums, and floor scrubbers
• Assist with industrial cleaning projects and facilities maintenance as needed
• Replenish supplies in restrooms, kitchens, and common areas to ensure continuous availability of essentials
• Support residential painting or minor repair tasks when required
• Follow safety protocols during all cleaning and maintenance activities to prevent accidents or hazards
• Report any maintenance issues or safety concerns to management promptly

Skills

• Proven experience in commercial or residential cleaning environments
• Knowledge of janitorial procedures, including floor care and industrial cleaning techniques
• Familiarity with custodial equipment such as buffers, floor scrubbers, and vacuums
• Ability to perform facilities maintenance tasks including minor repairs or painting
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on thoroughness and quality of work
• Good organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
• Physical ability to perform demanding tasks such as lifting heavy equipment or furniture, standing for extended periods, and climbing ladders if necessary
• Excellent communication skills for teamwork and reporting issues effectively
