The Senior Analytics Practitioner plays a pivotal role in transforming how data is accessed, processed, and utilized across the organization. This position focuses on extracting data from silos, automating workflows, and ensuring seamless data availability to address critical business questions. The Data Engineer will lead efforts to improve data feeds, optimize data infrastructure, and enhance data quality, scalability, and reliability.
This role operates within an Agile environment, requiring collaboration with cross-functional teams to design and implement innovative, data-driven solutions. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong technical acumen in Databricks, ETL development, and data pipeline automation, with the ability to design and manage large-scale, high-performance data systems.
This is a hybrid position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze complex datasets to uncover trends, patterns, risks, and opportunities to support business decisions.
- Develop clear, compelling data visualizations and dashboards using Databricks and other visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Excel.
- Create detailed analytical reports that summarize insights and provide actionable recommendations.
- Perform data cleaning, transformation, and structuring to ensure accuracy and usability for analysis.
- Utilize SQL to query, validate, and manipulate data across systems.
- Apply introductory machine learning or predictive analytics concepts to support forward-looking insights.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand analytical needs, gather requirements, and refine reporting outputs.
- Work within Agile ceremonies—including backlog grooming, sprint planning, and testing—to ensure analytical deliverables align with mission priorities.
- Contribute analytical expertise to cross-functional teams and support the SDLC through user story documentation and functional testing.
- Develop a growing understanding of assigned business areas to enhance analytical interpretations and recommendations.
Minimum Qualifications:
- U.S. citizenship
- Bachelor's degree or four additional years of experience
- 5+ years of relevant experience
- Oracle PLSQL Developer, SQL, Oracle OEM, Cloudwatch
- Data modeling, integration, and engineering
- Databricks Platform
- Data governance tools such as Alation
- Exposure to predictive analytics or machine learning frameworks
- Python or shell scripting
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills
