Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to support the daily financial operations of the organization. Reporting to the Director of Finance, this position ensures the accuracy, integrity, and efficiency of all financial activities across multiple lines of business. The Accounting Manager oversees a team of Senior Accountants, a Staff Accountant, and an Accounts Payable Clerk—providing guidance, reviewing work, and ensuring compliance with nonprofit accounting standards. This role is essential in maintaining strong internal controls, supporting grant management, preparing financial reports, and facilitating audits. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, collaborative, and experienced in nonprofit financial management.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

• Support the Director of Finance in all aspects of financial administration and departmental operations.
• Oversee the timely processing and recognition of grant receivables; track and analyze grant expenditures.
• Ensure all journal entries are posted accurately and promptly to meet monthly financial reporting deadlines.
• Supervise accounts receivable processes and assist with revenue recognition and cash flow projections.
• Review and post daily accounting entries as needed.
• Maintain general ledger accounts, payroll distributions, and financial records for all grants.
• Assist Senior Accountants with month-end and year-end general ledger close.
