Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Construction Superintendent to lead on-site operations for our projects. In this role, you will be the primary driver of day-to-day field activity, ensuring the work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. You'll coordinate subcontractors, manage site logistics, monitor progress, and keep the project on schedule from start to finish.

The ideal candidate is a proactive leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can confidently solve problems, communicate clearly, and maintain strong relationships with field crews, inspectors, and project managers. This position is essential to keeping the jobsite running smoothly and delivering exceptional results for our clients.

Key ResponsibilitiesProject Oversight

  • Manage day-to-day on-site construction activities from start to finish.
  • Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, labor crews, and vendors.
  • Monitor project progress against schedules and proactively resolve delays.

Quality Control

  • Ensure all work meets company standards, plans, specifications, and local building codes.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and document deficiencies or required corrections.
  • Verify materials and equipment meet project requirements before installation.

Communication & Coordination

  • Provide regular updates to clients regarding project milestones, schedules, site conditions, and any changes that may affect scope or timelines.
  • Serve as the main on-site liaison with project managers, architects, engineers, inspectors, and subcontractors.
  • Lead weekly site coordination meetings.
  • Provide daily and weekly reports on labor, progress, changes in design that impact cost, and issues that arise.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-conscious jobsite that reflects the company's professionalism and commitment to quality.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate logs, field reports, timesheets, RFIs, and change order documentation.
  • Track deliveries, equipment usage, and inventory.
  • Support project management with schedule updates and forecasting.

Problem Solving

  • Anticipate project challenges and develop practical, cost-effective solutions.
  • Resolve conflicts among subcontractors and ensure smooth workflow.
  • Respond quickly to design conflicts or unforeseen site conditions.

Qualifications

  • Degree or formal training in Horticulture, Landscape Architecture, Landscape Management, Environmental Science, or a related field (required)
  • 3+ years of experience in landscape construction supervision or a related trade.
  • Strong working knowledge of regional plant species, climate considerations, and proper plant installation techniques.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, building codes, and safety regulations.
  • Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and technical documents.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with project management software, scheduling tools, and reporting systems.
  • Auto Cad skills (preferred).
  • Valid driver's license.

Pay: From $100,000.00 per year
