Financial Accountant

What You'll Do

As a Financial Analyst/Accountant, you'll be at the heart of our finance operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strategic insight. Your responsibilities will include:

• Month-End Close & Reporting: Participate in closing activities, prepare journal entries, and reconcile accounts.
• Financial Analysis: Assess agency financial position, monitor contract budget performance, and deliver actionable insights.
• General Ledger Management: Maintain subsidiary schedules, apply allocations, and manage depreciation entries.
• Budgeting & Compliance: Support budgeting processes and ensure adherence to funding requirements.
• Audit Support: Assist with independent audits, prepare schedules, and provide documentation throughout the year.
• Data-Driven Insights: Conduct unit cost analysis, develop BI tools, and analyze program productivity metrics.
• Strategic Contributions: Propose innovative solutions to improve financial performance, reduce costs, and optimize cash flow.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the CFO, Controller, and Program Directors to deliver monthly fiscal and operational analysis.

Education/Training/Experience:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting or Business with major in Accounting; experience in certified course work in accounting concepts with 5+ years in an Accountant role considered.
• Minimum of 2-4 years accounting experience including some auditing experience preferred.
• Prefer knowledge of Microsoft Great Plains Dynamics software.

Pay: $58, $65,000.00 per year
