Position Overview

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented HVAC Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, inspections, and system checkups on residential HVAC equipment. This role focuses on preventive care, ensuring systems operate efficiently, safely, and reliably. Strong mechanical aptitude, professionalism, and customer service skills are essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled maintenance and tune-ups on HVAC systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, ventilation systems, and thermostats.
  • Inspect system components, identify wear or potential issues, and recommend necessary repairs.
  • Clean and adjust burners, igniters, coils, condensers, and related components.
  • Replace filters, belts, and other routine maintenance parts.
  • Test system performance using gauges, meters, and diagnostic tools.
  • Verify safe operation and ensure systems meet manufacturer specifications and local codes.
  • Document maintenance performed, system conditions, and recommendations for future service.
  • Communicate clearly with customers about system status, maintenance findings, and ongoing care.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and service vehicles in clean working condition.
  • Follow all safety protocols, EPA guidelines, and company procedures.

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of HVAC maintenance or related experience preferred.
  • HVAC training, certification, or technical school background strongly preferred.
  • EPA 608 Certification is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of preventive maintenance procedures for HVAC equipment.
  • Ability to read and understand technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Must pass background and drug screening.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift 50–75 lbs.
  • Comfortable working in confined spaces, attics, crawl spaces, basements, and outdoor conditions.
  • Ability to bend, kneel, climb ladders, stand for long periods, and work in hot or cold environments.

Working Environment

  • Indoor and outdoor job sites.
  • Exposure to varying temperatures, dust, noise, and job-site conditions.
  • Work in residential homes.

Pay: $50, $75,000.00 per year
