Summary

The Water Spider plays a critical support role in our Lean manufacturing environment by ensuring that production lines are continuously supplied with the necessary materials, tools, and components. This position helps eliminate downtime and supports a smooth, efficient workflow by proactively managing inventory and replenishment tasks. This position will also play an important support role in our shipping department on an as needed basis.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.

  1. Deliver materials, tools, and supplies to workstations in a timely and efficient manner.

  2. Monitor and maintain inventory levels at point-of-use locations.

  3. Remove empty containers, waste, and excess materials from production areas.

  4. Maintain and update Kanban systems and other visual inventory tools.

  5. Communicate with production staff and supervisors to anticipate material needs.

  6. Support 5S and Lean initiatives by keeping work areas clean and organized.

  7. Identify and report material shortages or quality issues.

  8. Collect hazardous or non-hazardous waste in correctly labeled barrels or other containers and
