Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Kitchen Manager to lead our culinary team and oversee all aspects of kitchen operations. In this vital role, you will ensure the delivery of exceptional food quality, maintain high standards of food safety and cleanliness, and foster a positive, team-oriented environment. Your leadership will drive efficiency, uphold brand standards, and elevate the overall guest experience in a fast-paced, hospitality-focused setting. Duties

  • Lead and supervise daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to meet quality standards consistently.
  • Manage inventory control, including ordering, stock rotation, and minimizing waste to optimize costs.
  • Utilize Aloha POS or Micros POS systems for order processing, sales tracking, and reporting.
  • Handle cash transactions accurately and reconcile daily cash drawers.
  • Train and develop kitchen staff on food safety practices, cooking techniques, and customer service standards.
  • Coordinate shift schedules, manage staffing levels, and ensure proper coverage during peak hours.
  • Maintain compliance with health regulations and food safety standards through regular inspections.
  • Support catering events, banquet services, and quick-service operations as needed.
  • Assist in budgeting processes, monitor expenses, and implement cost-control measures.
  • Foster a positive team environment through effective communication, motivation, and performance feedback.
  • Conduct interviews for new hires; participate in staff onboarding and ongoing training initiatives.
  • Collaborate with management to develop menu offerings that align with brand standards and customer preferences.
  • Ensure timely delivery of high-quality food that exceeds guest expectations in casual dining or fine dining settings.

Skills

  • Extensive experience in food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen management within the food industry.
  • Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for sales processing and reporting.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory control practices including ordering, stock rotation, and waste reduction.
  • Proven ability to handle cash transactions accurately while maintaining excellent customer service skills.
  • Experience managing staff training programs focused on food safety, culinary skills, and hospitality standards.
  • Demonstrated leadership in supervising teams within quick service & fast-food restaurants or casual dining environments.
  • Skilled in restaurant management tasks such as shift management, budgeting, and operational planning.
  • Knowledge of food handling regulations and health department compliance requirements.
  • Background in hospitality management with experience in fine dining or banquet services preferred.
  • Ability to oversee multiple facets of food service operations including catering, bar service, or hotel restaurant settings.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for interviewing candidates and developing team members through training & development initiatives.
