Responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers in implementing lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards across subjects such as literacy education, math, and social-emotional learning.
- Support classroom management by maintaining a positive, structured environment conducive to learning and growth.
- Engage children through interactive activities tailored to their developmental stages, including toddler care and preschool experiences.
- Help with classroom organization, including preparing materials for lessons and maintaining a clean, safe space.
- Provide individualized attention to children with diverse needs, including those with autism or disabilities, ensuring inclusive participation.
- Foster effective communication with children, parents, and team members to promote a collaborative educational atmosphere.
- Support curriculum development efforts by contributing ideas that enhance early childhood education programs based on childhood development principles.
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or private school settings is highly valued.
- Demonstrated knowledge of special education techniques and behavior management strategies.
- Familiarity with working with children with autism or disabilities and implementing appropriate support strategies.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues and engage children positively.
- Background in childcare or toddler care that emphasizes nurturing and developmental milestones.

Requirements
- Age: At least 18 years old.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Background: Must pass a DCYF background check and have a negative TB test.
- Training:
- Child Care Basics (STARS training).
- Basic/Standard First Aid & CPR.
- Bloodborne Pathogens training.
- Food Handler Permit (if applicable).
- Safe Sleep (if applicable).
- Registration: Sign up for the MERIT registry and have a stars id.
Pay: $ $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20.0 – 26.0 per week
