Job Overview

We are seeking a Pharmaceutical Manufacturing & Packaging Technician to support hands-on manufacturing and packaging operations within a regulated pharmaceutical environment. This role focuses on operating, troubleshooting, and maintaining production and packaging equipment, while also utilizing basic software and computerized systems to support compliant manufacturing activities.

This position is ideal for candidates with hands-on manufacturing or packaging experience, particularly those who have worked with compression equipment, and who are comfortable working with both mechanical systems and basic IT/software interfaces (HMIs, electronic batch records, equipment software).

Training will be provided on site-specific equipment, systems, and procedures.

The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, technically curious, and interested in building long-term experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing and packaging operations.

Duties

  • Operate pharmaceutical manufacturing and packaging equipment, including tablet compression equipment, according to established SOPs and batch records
  • Perform setup, changeover, adjustments, and in-process checks on compression and packaging machinery
  • Troubleshoot and resolve basic mechanical, technical, and system-related issues on production equipment
  • Interface with equipment software systems, such as HMIs, PLC-controlled systems, and electronic batch records (EBR)
  • Document production activities accurately using computerized manufacturing systems
  • Apply and follow cGMP requirements in all manufacturing and packaging activities
  • Perform routine equipment inspections and minor maintenance to ensure optimal operation
  • Support investigations and troubleshooting efforts involving both hardware and software components
  • Communicate effectively with engineering, quality, and supervision teams regarding equipment or process issues
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant manufacturing environment

Skills / Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience as a Compression Operator or similar pharmaceutical manufacturing role
  • Understanding of cGMP regulations applicable to pharmaceutical manufacturing and packaging
  • Ability to follow SOPs, batch records, and quality documentation requirements
  • Mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose and fix equipment issues
  • Basic familiarity with manufacturing-related software systems (HMI screens, data entry systems, EBRs, or equipment software)
  • General technical exposure to production equipment, sensors, drives, and automated systems
  • Prior manufacturing experience in pharmaceutical, chemical, or food production environments preferred, but not required
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks associated with manufacturing operations
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a regulated environment
  • Willingness to learn new equipment, processes, and systems

Compensation

Compensation is based on experience, technical skill level, and overall fit for the role. Candidates with hands-on pharmaceutical manufacturing or packaging experience will be considered accordingly.
