Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Manufacturing Engineer to join our innovative team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or individuals with foundational experience in manufacturing and industrial engineering to develop their skills within a dynamic manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will contribute to process improvement, equipment optimization, and product quality enhancement through collaborative engineering efforts. A strong foundation in mechanical knowledge, CAD tools, and manufacturing processes is essential for success in this position.
Responsibilities
- Assist in developing and implementing manufacturing processes.
- Support project scheduling activities to ensure timely completion of engineering projects and process improvements.
- Conduct root cause analysis on production issues to identify underlying problems and implement corrective actions.
- Utilize CAD software such as AutoCAD and MasterCam to produce and modify components, tooling, and schematics.
- Program and troubleshoot robotics and programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to optimize automation systems.
- Participate in lean manufacturing initiatives to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance overall productivity.
- Develop and interpret schematics, vision inspection systems, and industrial equipment specifications aligned with ISO 9001 standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on process engineering tasks, including CNC programming, CAM programming, GD&T application, and tooling design.
- Support continuous improvement efforts by analyzing manufacturing workflows and proposing enhancements using industrial engineering principles.
- Assist in maintaining documentation related to manufacturing processes, equipment calibration, and safety protocols.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
- Basic knowledge of CAD tools such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and CAM programming.
- Familiarity with robotics programming, CNC programming (including G-code), PLCs, and vision inspection systems is preferred.
- Understanding of tooling design is a plus.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, continuous improvement methodologies, and ISO 9001 standards.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to perform root cause analysis effectively.
- Ability to interpret schematics and technical drawings; GD&T knowledge is advantageous.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
