Accounting Manager

Accounting Manager
will play a critical role in maintaining the financial health of the agency, ensuring seamless financial operations, and supporting our leadership team with accurate reporting and insights.

Core Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage general accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, payroll, and taxes.
  • Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
  • Manage month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations, including corporate and payroll taxes.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
  • Support leadership with financial reporting, insights, and analysis to inform decision-making.
  • Maintain and enforce internal accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Collaborate with external auditors to ensure successful audits and compliance.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of improved accounting processes, systems, and workflows.
  • Manage payroll processing and related activities, including onboarding and offboarding support.
  • Provide training and guidance to new and existing staff as needed.
  • Handle sensitive and confidential financial information with integrity and discretion.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably within a marketing or creative agency environment.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks and Google Spreadsheets.
  • Proficiency in Workamajig is highly desirable.
  • Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage varying workloads, meet deadlines, and work independently.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
