Ravitron is an established technology firm with over 35 years in business, has an immediate full-time opening for a Field Technical Supervisor. The idea candidate will demonstrate the ability to articulate a solution to their supervisor, have a good work history in the field of CCTV, Access Control, Telecom, networking and/or certifications on specific brands of Telephony / Security / Network systems. Experience in leadership is also necessary.

Description:

Join a rapidly deployable team responsible for day-to-day technology installations throughout Michigan and Northern Indiana. Installations include, but are not limited to: IP Telephone, CCTV, Network Electronics, Audio/Video, Cabling, etc. A competitive salary package w/ benefits, including paid holidays, vacation, retirement, and access to company vehicles. This is primarily a field-oriented position that will require a lot of local travel, some regional travel and occasionally longer distances. You will be the face of our company to our customers, so a commitment to professionalism and excellent communication is essential. Full time with overtime as needed.

Responsibilities:

Candidate should have at least 3 years of documented experience working in the technology field or equivalent military technology experience. Prior leadership/management experience is a must.

Ravitron provides formal and on-the-job training, but you should have experience with one or more of the following disciplines:

  • Telephone System Installation & Programming
  • CCTV / Access Control System Installation
  • Computer Service and Operations
  • Low Voltage / Fiber Cable Installation

· Install, test, and maintain a variety of equipment. This may include cabling systems, security cameras, access control systems, telephone systems, and computer systems.

· Install, test, and maintain low-voltage cabling systems (coax, Cat5/6, fiber optic)

· Perform preventive maintenance to ensure optimal performance and longevity of equipment.

· Mount, configure, and troubleshoot Security Camera Systems.

· Perform technical installations and repairs for various systems (may include access control, audio/visual, intercom)

· Diagnose and resolve customer reported issues with technical equipment.

· Provide clear explanations and solutions to customer inquiries in a professional and courteous manner.

· Maintain a clean and professional workspace on customer sites.

· Maintain accurate and detailed service reports documenting all work performed.

· Adhere to all safety regulations and company protocols to ensure a safe work environment.

Qualifications:

· Leadership skills

· Possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

· Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

· Ability to climb up and down a ladder.

· Perform extended overhead cabling/wiring from ladders, lifts, and bucket truck.

· Ability to crawl into tight spaces for installation purposes of devices and equipment.

· Minimum of 2 years of experience in a field technician role or related industry.

· Strong understanding of electrical and/or mechanical systems.

· Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

· Effective communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with customers.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

· A strong work ethic and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.

Qualifications seeking but not required:

· Technical Engineering experience with Routers, switches, VLANs, etc.

· General VoIP experience with IP PBX and associated endpoints

· Consistently strives for attention to detail and high quality of work
