Reports to the Maintenance Manager
Job Summary
The Lead Maintenance Technician is responsible for completing daily work orders as assigned by the maintenance manager and/or assistant maintenance manager. May also include assignments for general facilities and grounds maintenance as needed to support overall department and operational needs. This role combines hands-on technical work with planning and coordination with a safety-first attitude.
Restrictions and Educational Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Must possess a valid driver's license
- Must have reliable transportation
Specialized Training Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years on-the-job experience in one or more of the following carpentry, masonry, plumbing, painting, electrical and welding

- Possess ability to direct others as required
Safety and Health Requirements
- Must be able to stand, walk and bend for extended periods of time
- Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs
- Ability to climb ladders and work in confined spaces.
- Responsible for personal health and safety
- Must adhere to Park-wide 20mph speed limit (2mph through front gate)
- Follow all GMSF safety and first aid guidelines

- Must possess high professional and personal integrity
- Must attend all required Park functions, events, classes, meetings and workshops
Essential Functions
- Make in-Park repairs concerning carpentry, masonry, plumbing, painting, electrical, HVAC and welding. If these skills are not possessed, GMSF will offer training.
- Operate job-related equipment with a "safety first" approach for yourself, co-workers and guests.
- Must be willing to complete all tasks assigned by the Maintenance Manager.
- Willing to complete general grounds and facilities maintenance tasks as assigned. To include but not limited to: trash pick-up, cleaning, mowing, weed eating, parking, snow removal and preventive maintenance checks.
- Must show pride in the way the Park looks for our guests and how that reflects on the Maintenance department.
- Have basic knowledge of water systems.
- Meeting with contractors and vendors when assigned by the Maintenance Manager
- Ability to see projects and tasks through to completion.
- Have knowledge of CMMS systems (work orders). GMSF uses the Limble System.
- Willingness to work as part of an on-call rotation schedule.
