Roofing Installation Manager

Supervises and coordinates activities of construction workers engaged in the installation of roofing and/or solar systems. Provides leadership in the field and communication to management to implement project plans. Always assure and quality standards and drives productivity on construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Safety:

a. Reviews site safety plan prior to start of job and communicates the safety information to the job foremen.

b. Evaluates construction methods to assure best practices are being followed by crew, works with the PM, HR, and Safety to correct unsafe behavior

c. Assures all equipment and tooling is used properly and safely including vehicles.

d. Maintains a safe working environment and enforces compliance with safety regulations and procedures, uses documentation for record keeping of unsafe work behavior.

e. Confers with crews on safety/health issues. Assures weekly toolbox talks are conducted and documented, and signed rosters are returned to safety by the end of the week.

1. Project Planning:

a. Communicates with production managers on project requirements and objectives.

b. Coordinates with management on work schedules and assigns duties to workers.

c. Requisitions supplies or materials to complete construction projects. Coordinates as required with Yard staff for support in stock materials, supplies, and equipment.

1. Team Management:

a. Trains crew in proper techniques to install all types of roofing.

b. Assigns tasks and responsibilities to crew and ensures they understand project objectives.

c. Provide ongoing coaching and performance feedback to improve team efficiency and effectiveness.

d. Inspects work in progress and verifies it meets specifications throughout the installation process. Notifies management as required with .

e. Assures daily photos are taken on jobs and uploaded into Company Cam software program. Supervises and trains foreman to assist in tasks or completes directly.

f. Verifies crews are properly clocked in and out daily and/or confirms times are recorded accurately (includes submitting daily/contractor logs when required). Facilitates timecard approvals for crew at end of each pay period supporting Project Administrator as needed.

1. Project Execution:

a. Implements modified plans in response to delays, weather, or construction site emergencies.

b. Works with the project team to identify and resolve problems.

c. Investigates damage, accidents, or delays at construction sites to ensure that proper construction procedures are being followed.

d. Takes leadership on directing pick up or necessary repair work. May also supervise others engaged in this level of work.

e. Conduct regular site inspections to ensure work is being performed according to plan.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Demonstrates a priority for safety in work ethic. Respects company safety priority.

• Experience in roofing installation or construction management.

• In-depth knowledge of roofing materials, techniques, and best practices.

• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop employees.

• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities, with a customer-focused approach.

• Understanding of safety regulations and protocols in the construction industry.

• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.

Pay $71,000 to $80,000 Annually DOE

Pay: $71, $80,000.00 per year
