Bartender/Barista

Job Description: Bartender with Barista experience Preferred

Key Responsibilities:

• Drink Preparation:
• Mix, garnish, and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to recipes or customer preferences.
• Create custom cocktails and keep up with trends in drink recipes.
• Customer Service:
• Interact with customers, take drink orders, and provide recommendations.
• Maintain a friendly and approachable demeanor to ensure an enjoyable experience for patrons.
• Process customer payments accurately and promptly.
• Bar Maintenance:
• Keep the bar area clean and organized.
• Replenish bar supplies and ingredients, ensuring everything is stocked.
• Maintain cleanliness and ensure the bar follows all health and safety regulations.
• Inventory Control:
• Monitor the inventory of liquor, wine, beer, and other supplies.
• Communicate with management to restock items as needed.
• Cash Handling:
• Handle cash and credit card transactions.
• Balance the cash register at the beginning and end of shifts.
• Ensuring Legal Compliance:
• Check the identification of customers to verify legal drinking age.
• Follow all regulations regarding the sale and service of alcohol.
• Troubleshooting & Problem Solving:
• Handle customer complaints or concerns professionally and effectively.
• Diffuse any potentially difficult situations with patrons in a calm and courteous manner.
• Team Collaboration:
• Work closely with other bartenders, servers, and staff to ensure efficient service.
• Assist in training new staff members as needed.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Customer Service: Friendly, approachable, and able to handle stressful situations with a positive attitude.
• Communication: Ability to clearly communicate with customers and team members.
• Attention to Detail: Ability to accurately follow drink recipes and manage bar supplies.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and handle multiple tasks.
• Time Management: Efficient in managing time and handling busy periods.
• Knowledge of Alcohol Laws: Understanding of the legal drinking age, alcohol limits, and local regulations.

Experience & Education:

• Previous experience in bartending or a related field is often preferred, but on-the-job training is typically provided.
• High school diploma or equivalent .
• Certifications such as bartending school training or Responsible Beverage Service certification .
