SummaryThe QC Inspector II will perform functions pertaining to inspecting and approving incoming manufactured materials by confirming meeting specifications, conducting visual inspection, and performing measurements, and identifying defects and assigning non-conforming reports. Also ensure inspection of products is inspected per Quality Plan and AQL requirements. Additional responsibilities in Calibration program for all in-house instruments and support CoC creations.
Job ResponsibilitiesControl and manage Quality documents, ensure information accuracy and meets compliance
Ability to read engineering blueprints, interpret specifications and Quality Plan
Understand and follow Engineering and Quality requirements against parts being inspected
Visual & dimensional inspection experience is a must
Basic Math: Demonstrate the ability to use shop math including addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication
Ensure QC inspection meets Work Instructions Procedure and Engineering drawing
Follow Nonconforming and Corrective Action Handling procedure
Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point is a plus
Ability to use applicable instrument ex. Pie Tape, Calipers, Depth Gauges, OD/ID Mics, and Hardness Gauges
Ability to transact QC functions in SAP, Windchill, Smart Trace, and SharePoint
Creating NCR in SAP as required
Recording results in spreadsheets and proficiently compiling data
Creating CoC's documents
Follow dispatch list to complete daily testing job
Follow basic safety and housekeeping
Promote personal accountability for Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) by adhering to the principles and guidelines outlined in HMH's HSSE governing policy
- High school diploma/GED
- Minimum of 2 years in relevant experience
- Ability to speak, understand, read, and write in local language
Desired Characteristics:
- Experience working in a Quality Control environment in a safe manner
- Experience with inspecting and understanding elastomer products
- Experience with Microsoft Excel for tabulating and plotting data
- Good interpersonal skills and enjoy working as part of a team
Additional Information
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis, now or in the future, without employer sponsorship for employment visa status.
- No relocation assistance.
- 7:00AM - 3:30 PM Monday through Friday (with overtime as required, some holidays required)
