Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Sonographer to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality ultrasound examinations and providing critical diagnostic evaluations to assist in patient care. This role requires a strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology, as well as proficiency in various sonographic techniques.

Duties

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations, including but not limited to interventional cardiology and interventional radiology procedures.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to assess patient conditions and provide accurate diagnostic evaluations.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, and physiology knowledge to ensure precise imaging.
• Monitor vital signs and ensure patient comfort throughout the examination process.
• Adhere to aseptic techniques and safety protocols while conducting procedures in the cath lab or emergency medicine settings.
• Document findings accurately and communicate results effectively to the medical team.
• Participate in continuous education and training to stay updated on advancements in sonography practices.

Requirements

• Proficiency in sonography with experience in a Level I or Level II trauma center preferred.
• Knowledge of cardiac catheterization, telemetry, and emergency medicine practices is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and aseptic technique.
• Ability to perform diagnostic evaluations with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with healthcare teams.
