About The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Data Engineer II to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, building, and maintaining scalable data systems that support operational efficiency and advanced analytics. You will collaborate closely with operational and analytics teams to understand their data needs and translate these into effective, reliable, and secure data solutions. Your expertise will be vital in architecting robust ETL workflows using cutting-edge technologies such as Python, dbt, SQLAlchemy, Terraform, Airflow, Snowflake, and Redshift. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data warehousing, pipeline development, and healthcare data landscapes, with a focus on ensuring data integrity and system reliability. This position offers an opportunity to influence the future of healthcare data management while working in a flexible environment, either remotely or in a hybrid setting near NYC or Denver, CO.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer with a proven track record in designing and maintaining complex data pipelines.
  • At least 2+ years of hands-on experience working with Airflow, dbt, and Snowflake.
  • Expertise in data warehousing architecture techniques, including familiarity with Kimball methodology.
  • Strong proficiency in Python and SQL, with at least 1+ year of practical experience.
  • Ability to analyze the broader data landscape and architect scalable solutions that support organizational growth.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of solving intricate technical challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the relationship with operational and analytics teams to gather business requirements and translate them into effective data solutions.
  • Design, develop, and implement ETL workflows utilizing CapitalRx platforms and technologies such as Python, dbt, SQLAlchemy, Terraform, Airflow, Snowflake, and Redshift.
  • Conduct rigorous testing of data pipelines to ensure flawless execution and data quality before deployment.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement initiatives to optimize data workflows and infrastructure.
  • Proactively monitor data systems, troubleshoot issues, and resolve data-related problems to ensure system reliability and data integrity.
  • Lead moderately complex projects from conception through deployment, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
  • Provide ongoing maintenance and support for critical data infrastructure, including being available for 24x7 on-call support when necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with the Capital Rx Code of Conduct and report any instances of non-compliance.
