Cashier

We are Sunoco Gas Station with Yum-Central C-Store

What You'll Do

As a Cashier, you'll be the face of our store and the last (and often first) impression our customers have. Your main responsibilities include:

• Greeting every customer with a smile and providing quick, courteous service
• Operating the cash register/POS system: scanning items, processing cash, credit/debit cards, EBT, mobile payments, and fuel purchases
• Accurately handling lottery tickets, money orders, Western Union, and bill payments
• Stocking coolers, shelves, and front counter merchandise
• Maintaining a clean and organized checkout area, store front, and restrooms
• Preparing grab-and-go food items (hot dogs, pizza, coffee, fountain drinks, etc.)
• Verifying age for restricted items (tobacco, alcohol, lottery)
• Assisting with light cleaning tasks and end-of-shift procedures
• Monitoring for theft and following loss-prevention guidelines
• Answering customer questions and resolving basic complaints on the spot

• Friendly, outgoing personality – you genuinely enjoy helping people
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask under pressure
• Basic math skills and attention to detail (cash handling accuracy is critical)
• Reliable transportation and flexible availability (days, nights, weekends, overnights, and holidays required)
• Previous cashier or retail experience is a plus, but not required – we will train the right person
• Must be preferred for alcohol/tobacco sales)
• Ability to stand for entire shift and lift up to 30–40 lbs (stocking cases of drinks, etc.)

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $ $14.00 per hour
