We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Assistant Manager to lead our restaurant team to excellence In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily operations, ensure exceptional customer service, and foster a vibrant team environment. Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise restaurant operations during shifts, ensuring seamless service delivery and adherence to company standards.
  • Manage staff scheduling, training, and development to cultivate a motivated and skilled team.
  • Oversee food preparation processes, ensuring quality, presentation, and safety standards are consistently met.
  • Handle POS systems, Toast for order processing, cash handling, and sales reconciliation with accuracy.
  • Control inventory levels through effective stock management, ordering supplies as needed to prevent shortages or overstocking.
  • Maintain food safety protocols in compliance with health regulations; supervise food handling and sanitation practices across the kitchen and dining areas.
  • Monitor customer service quality; address guest concerns promptly to ensure an exceptional dining experience.
  • Assist in budgeting, cost control, and revenue management initiatives to optimize restaurant profitability.
  • Conduct staff interviews, onboarding sessions, and ongoing training programs focused on food service management, culinary skills, and hospitality excellence.
  • Support kitchen management activities including food production supervision and catering or banquet event coordination when necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with all food industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies at all times.
  • Lead by example in fostering a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Skills

  • Proven experience in restaurant management with supervisory responsibilities in quick service & fast food or casual dining environments.
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and food safety standards.
  • Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for efficient transaction processing.
  • Expertise in inventory control, food handling procedures, and cost management strategies.
  • Excellent leadership skills with experience in staff training & development as well as supervising teams effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage shift operations smoothly while maintaining high customer service standards.
  • Background in hospitality management with experience in fine dining or casual dining settings; banquet or catering experience is a plus.
  • Skilled in interviewing potential team members and conducting performance reviews to foster professional growth.
  • Strong organizational skills related to food production planning, kitchen management, and food service workflows.
  • Ability to handle cash transactions accurately while managing overall financial responsibilities of the restaurant.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations (such as ServSafe certification) and best practices for maintaining hygiene standards.
  • Leadership qualities that inspire teamwork while demonstrating excellent communication skills across diverse teams.
