Cardiac Cath Radiology Technologist

Location: Chicago, Illinois, USA

Employment Type: Full-Time

Schedule: Day Shift (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday–Friday)

About the Role

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Cardiac Cath Radiology Technologist to join a hospital-based healthcare team in Chicago, IL. The ideal candidate will play a key role in providing high-quality diagnostic and interventional imaging services within the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory, supporting physicians and nurses during invasive cardiac and vascular procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment to perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures.
  • Assist physicians during cardiac catheterization, angiography, electrophysiology, and other interventional studies.
  • Position patients accurately to ensure proper anatomical imaging and radiation protection.
  • Monitor and record patient data during procedures in compliance with protocols.
  • Maintain sterile technique and ensure all imaging and monitoring equipment is properly set up and functioning.
  • Review and archive imaging data with correct labeling and documentation.
  • Participate in the on-call rotation for emergency and add-on procedures.
  • Collaborate with the medical and nursing team to ensure safe and effective patient care.
  • Follow all radiation safety standards and infection control procedures.
  • Maintain current knowledge through continuing education, training, and departmental in-services.

Qualifications

  • Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
  • Current Illinois State License in Radiologic Technology (required).
  • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification (required).
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification (required).
  • Minimum of 1–3 years of experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab, Interventional Radiology, or related setting preferred.
  • Strong understanding of fluoroscopic imaging, patient positioning, and radiation safety.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.

Schedule

  • Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
  • Participation in on-call rotation for emergency procedures required
