Your impact

This position is responsible for procurement transactions associated with subcontracting of services and procurement of engineered equipment. The incumbent has working knowledge and understanding of procurement concepts, principles and practices, and the techniques of ensuring task completion. The incumbent understands the role of procurement and its integration with other project functions, accomplishes value-added expectations, and performs assignments in accordance with established policies and procedures.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Subcontracting assignments typically will consist of obtaining equipment (both simple and complex) as well as professional or technical services as part of a major construction project
  • Utilize established policies, procedures, systems, and tools
  • Advises o stakeholders how to create requisitions and helps them in understanding the overall Procurement process
  • Reviews invoices related with subcontracts and ensures that invoices are approved in accordance with terms and conditions agreed within the agreement
  • Evaluates facts surrounding purchase subcontract-related problem areas and applies remedies to resolve it
  • Maintains all procurement documentation in a designated repository
  • Identify and advise management of procurement related risks
  • Prepare bidder lists, qualify bidders, prepare requests for quotation/proposal, and conduct bid evaluations
  • Recommend source selections, lead purchase order negotiations
  • Ensure applicable prime contract flow-downs are identified, addressed, and included in assigned subcontracts
  • administers Procurement Agreements and change orders (modifications)
  • Works under moderate to minimal supervision. No direct reports. Supervises the work of procurement support personnel who assist with the purchasing activities.
  • Coordinates with project or departmental personnel in performance of the subcontracting activities.

Here's what you'll need

  • Bachelor's degree in a business, construction, or supply chain
  • 5 years of relevant experience in engineering and/or capital construction purchasing, contracting, or expediting

Ideally you'll have

  • Experience using MS Office tools, including intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills
  • A drive to tackle challenging problems

The base salary range for this position is $66,300.00 to $103, Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
