Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Daycare Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children of various ages, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. This role requires a strong understanding of childhood development and classroom management to support each child's growth and learning. The Daycare Teacher will work closely with children, parents, and fellow staff members to foster a positive educational experience.

Duties

  • Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
  • Supervise children during playtime, meals, naps, and educational activities to ensure safety at all times.
  • Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment conducive to learning and exploration.
  • Monitor and document children's progress, behaviors, and developmental milestones.
  • Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's progress, behavior, and any concerns.
  • Enforce classroom rules and behavior management strategies to promote positive interactions among children.
  • Administer basic first aid when necessary and respond promptly to emergencies or health concerns.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum plans that meet licensing standards and educational goals.
  • Adhere to all licensing regulations, safety protocols, and health guidelines related to childcare.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or similar settings is preferred.
  • Knowledge of childhood development principles and age-specific needs for infants through preschoolers.
  • Certification in first aid and CPR is highly desirable; willingness to obtain certification if not already certified.
  • Experience with special education or working with children with disabilities is a plus.
  • Strong classroom management skills with the ability to foster a positive learning environment.
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting effectively with children, parents, and team members.
  • Ability to handle caregiving responsibilities with patience, compassion, and professionalism.
