Lead Preschool Teacher positions available in General Day Care, Head Start, 3K and UPK Classrooms

The Lead Teacher is expected to engage in ongoing learning to strengthen his/her understanding of child development and the Lead Preschool Teacher is responsible for promoting the vision for quality early childhood services that anchors the organization.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Structure a learning environment that promotes child health and safety
• Plan and lead classroom instruction that is developmentally appropriate and meets the needs of children
• Actively engage with families to ensure parents/caregivers are knowledgeable about the child's program
• Implement a developmentally appropriate daily schedule, including the incorporation of transitions and age-appropriate opportunities
• Create a safe, warm, and nurturing environment for students that is conducive to learning
• Support implementation of behavior plans and/or IFSP/IEP goals, as appropriate

Essential Qualifications (Must have at least one )

• NYS Teaching Certification B-2 or Equivalent
• BA in ECE (Early Childhood Education) and currently pursuing MA/Teacher certification - Study Plan Eligible –

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55, $65,000.00 per year
