Server Assistant

Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Server Assistant to join our dynamic hospitality team. In this role, you will support the serving staff by ensuring smooth operations and delivering exceptional guest experiences. This position offers an opportunity to develop valuable skills in food service, customer service, and hospitality in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience in food handling or restaurant settings is preferred but not required; training will be provided to the right candidate. The Server Assistant plays a vital role in maintaining cleanliness, organization, and efficiency within our dining establishment.

Responsibilities

• Assist servers by bussing tables, refilling water, and delivering food and beverages as needed
• Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, including clearing dishes and sanitizing tables
• Support food preparation and kitchen staff with basic tasks to ensure timely service
• Handle food safely and follow proper food handling procedures at all times
• Set up dining areas for service, including arranging tables and chairs according to standards
• Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order processing when required
• Provide excellent guest services by greeting guests warmly and responding to their needs promptly
• Assist with banquet setups and special event support as needed
• Uphold food safety standards and ensure compliance with health regulations
• Collaborate effectively with team members to create a welcoming atmosphere for guests

Skills

• Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or hospitality environments is advantageous
• Knowledge of food handling, safety procedures, and proper sanitation practices
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
• Experience with banquet service, bussing, or kitchen support roles is desirable
• Strong communication skills to interact professionally with guests and team members
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Customer service-oriented mindset with a friendly and professional demeanor
• Basic culinary knowledge or kitchen experience can enhance performance in this role
• Flexibility to adapt to various tasks within the restaurant or hotel setting

Pay: $7.25 - $15.00 per hour
