Job Summary
The HR Generalist supports day-to-day operations by administering HR policies, procedures, and programs. This role handles a broad range of HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, performance management, and HR data management. The HR Generalist ensures HR practices are consistent, legally compliant, and aligned with the company's culture and strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities
· Onboarding
o Prepare offer letters and/or employment contracts, and any other new hire documentation.
o Manage onboarding for U.S. and Canada, ensuring compliance with local requirements and smooth integration into the company.
· Employee Relations
o Serve as a point of contact for employee questions regarding policies, benefits, and workplace issues.
o Assist in performance management processes.
o Escalate workplace concerns and conflicts as appropriate.
· Benefits Administration
o Support benefits administration for U.S. and Canada.
o Process enrollments, terminations, and changes in HRIS and with third-party administrators.
o Support annual benefits renewals and open enrollment.
o Manage the leave of absence process for U.S.- and Canada-based employees
· Compliance & Recordkeeping
o Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
o Ensure proper recordkeeping and documentation in employee personnel files.
· HRIS
o Maintain accurate employee data within ADP WorkForce Now.
o Generate reports and metrics to support HR and business decisions.
o Identify opportunities to streamline HR processes for efficiency.
· Other Duties
o Support special projects and HR initiatives as assigned.
Required Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field
· Minimum of 2 years of HR Generalist experience
· Experience with ADP WorkForce Now and other ADP products
· Knowledge of employment laws and best practices
· Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
· Ability to work effectively with employees across diverse regions and cultures
· Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment, managing multiple priorities with agility, adaptability, and a proactive approach to problem solving
· Strong written and verbal communication
Preferred Qualifications
· An accredited HR certification, such as SHRM-CP or PHR
· Expertise in benefits administration and compliance
· Knowledge of Canada benefits administration
Salary & Benefits
· Salary Range: $75,000 - $85,000 annualized
· Eligibility for bonuses
