Building and Grounds Technician

The Mark — Residential & Commercial Community

We're looking for a hands-on, reliable Building & Grounds Technician to help keep our community clean, safe, and well-maintained. If you take pride in your work, enjoy problem-solving, and thrive in a team environment, this is the role for you.

What You'll Do

• Daily cleaning of common areas, garages, and grounds
• General landscaping: weeds, plant care, flowerpots
• Maintain dumpster/compactor areas and pressure wash as needed
• Exterior cleaning: windows, awnings, debris, light fixtures
• Assist with minor repairs, painting, caulking, and unit checks
• Re-key units, change HVAC filters, and support preventative maintenance
• Set up/tear down for community and marketing events
• Monitor third-party vendors (landscape, snow removal, trash)
• Identify and secure safety hazards; assist with parking enforcement
• Participate in on-call emergency rotation

What You Bring

• High school diploma or GED
• 2+ years grounds or maintenance experience (residential/commercial)
• Basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC knowledge
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to lift up to 80 lbs., work outdoors, and climb ladders/stairs
• Valid driver's license and insurance

Schedule

• Full-time, 40 hours/week
• Some weekends required
• On-call rotation for emergencies

ADA Physical Requirements

• Snow removal to include shoveling and snow blowing walk ways and stairs in the community
• Must be able to perform outdoor job functions in all weather conditions, approximately 25% of the time
• Must be able to lift up to 80lbs, approximately 10% of the time
• Must be able to climb stairs approximately 10% of the time
• Must be able to walk the Community grounds, approximately 15% of the time
• Must be able to climb a ladder approximately 5% of the time
